Wolfman Report: Put Wealth Redistribution in Charge?

did I do that

I hear and see criticism of capitalism, conservatives, and Christians. They are not Utopia, but they served the United States well until January 20, 2009.
We’ve had a taste of wealth redistribution. Now, a decision will be made. Either the United States will go down the path that Greece and others went, or down the path that Australia and others are going.
At least many United States citizens realize that we are on the wrong path, now.
chouchou made the following remark:
“Austerity is inevitable.”
Greece is cutting back, and austerity is being imposed whether the citizens want it or not.
California is cutting back whether the citizens like it or not.
New Jersey and others are cutting back.
Many United States citizens think they will get what they want…forever.
When and if the United States currency collapses, United States citizens will experience inevitable austerity.
Entitlements such as Medicare, and Social Security will disappear. Voting for the wrong politicians will have nothing to do with it. Collapse of the currency will have a lot to do with it.
A look at the world over time:
The Weimar Republic printed money. The currency collapsed. The people cut back, they had no choice.
Zimbabwe’s currency collapsed. The people suffered. They had no choice.
Rome burned.

Mic Hudson’s Birthday

Mic Hudson

I've been looking at a power spinbrush which has a piece of plastic at the edge of the bristles. It looks like it would help remove plaque.

Mic Hudson aka Vulgivagus Poeta will be 54 years old July 13, 2011.
There are articles about Mic here, and here
He is currently a member of Newsvine. He’s on Facebook as Mic Hudson, and he’s on Youtube as Mic Hudson.
I called Mic, and he accidentally slipped through a ramp leading up to his trailer. He injured his leg.
I’d like to make a happy birthday for Mic possible.
If I can be of any assistance, please contact me on Newsvine.

Wolfman Report: A New Kind of Tsunami

Greek protests11369976_aed7ea72bd

An economic tsunami is threatening the United States.
We have borrowed money, but now our credit rating is in danger. The time may come where borrowing will not solve our problems.
We have printed money, and may print more. There is a limit though, as has been proved in other nations that printed money irresponsibly.
Then there is “tax the rich”. There is a limit to that too. I get the impression that some believe that “tax the rich” is a magical solution to money problems. I would like to point out that Greece has run out of money. Are they “taxing the rich”?  Answer: no.  In fact the taxes on smaller incomes are increasing in Greece; how can that be?
Greeks on modest salaries are furious that they have to pay ever higher taxes in the drive to reduce a towering budget deficit, while they believe the self-employed such as doctors and lawyers are guilty of flagrant tax evasion. Greece

If I was a "rich" person in Greece, I would leave. Also, if Greece "took" all the money from the "rich", it would not be enough to solve their debt problem, and they know it.
  • So borrowing is limited
  • Printing money is limited
  • Taxing the rich is limited
When the limits of all three are reached, the tsunami hits. No more social security checks, no more Medicare, Medicaid, or food stamps. No military.
None of these:
Federal Department of Education, Department of Energy, Small Business Administration, Securities & Exchange Commission, Peace Corps, Office of Personnel Management, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Drug Enforcement Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Aviation Administration, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Election Commission, Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Aeronautics & Space Administration, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,National Security Agency, Voice of America, and last but not least; The Social Security Administration,Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, FHA, VA.
Several million government employees would be out of work.
As the government struggles to prevent Greece from defaulting on its debt, the Socialist cabinet will discuss informally on Monday the medium-term economic plan which will impose 6.4 billion euros ($9.37 billion) of extra austerity this year alone. Greece

Wolfman Report: Do You Want to Know What Happened at the GOP-Obama Meeting? I Do Too!

image
Carney tells you what Obama wants you to hear

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – June 1, 2011 –
I intended to find articles about what happened at the GOP-Obama meeting June 1, 2011.
I found out that the press had been barred from the meeting. I did read about one of the Republicans, who took pictures and reported while the meeting was taking place.
I remember previous GOP-Obama meetings which were videotaped and published.
I thought this country was the land of the free and free speech. Isn’t denying the press access to meetings, like the most recent GOP-Obama meeting, a denial of free speech and freedom of the press? I was under the impression that Obama was going to put many government activities on C-Span. I know he promised to be open and transparent. Does Obama’s words measure up to his actions? The answer is glaringly no.
Secrecy is one of Obama’s characteristics. I don’t admire that characteristic. I don’t need to recite all the secrets, which Obama hides. His record of keeping secrets is well known.
Does “I won” give Obama the right to withhold information such as the GOP-Obama meeting June 1, 2011?
Obama is a sneaky Ayers, Wright, Van Jones, Marxist.
Don’t get me wrong; if Obama continues his behavior,  he will lose more and more votes. That is what I would like to see happen.

Spending has put the USA in Crisis Mode

"THE TRANSFORMER"

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – May 27, 2011 –
Here’s another perspective on US Federal Government spending.
I was born in 1930. We did not have Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. We did have poor houses, and I believe they called it public assistance. Those in need could get a bag of edible food from the local government. Those who accepted public assistance were looked down upon.
There was no Federal Department of Education, Department of Energy, Small Business Administration, Securities & Exchange Commission, Peace Corps, Office of Personnel Management, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Drug Enforcement Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Aviation Administration, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Election Commission, Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Aeronautics & Space Administration, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities,  National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,National Security Agency, Voice of America, and last but not least; The Social Security Administration.
So, I have lived through the time when public spending has skyrocketed and personal freedom has been diminished.
Who is to blame for all this spending? It’s not Republicans and Democrats; it’s the voters who voted them in. It’s the “takers” who vote for politicians who say that they will give them something, and the country is on the edge of a cliff as a result. Politicians have convinced the majority of the voters that we need every dime of spending on everything mentioned above, and that anyone who tries to cut anything will be voted out. There was an election in New York recently. The winner supported spending. The voters supported spending in that particular case.
“Obama found himself on the wrong side of public opinion with the policies he put in place after his election in 2008. The public wasn’t ready for the amount of spending he pushed through to deal with the recession.” Washington Post
The country as we know it may fold. The final result may be ugly.
I love this country; not as it is, but as it once was.
